## About

BioSonic is a cloud-based platform that uses deep learning (image recognition on spectrograms) to identify European bat species from ultrasonic recordings, filter noise, and separate feeding buzzes from social calls. The model is trained on over 2.5 million verified bat calls and 3.5 million noise files sourced from across Europe, curated by 12 bat experts. In an independent third-party benchmark by Wilder Sensing it scored 98.7% F1 accuracy — outperforming every other commercial bat classifier tested.

Founded in February 2024 in Stockholm, Sweden (BioSonic AB). Used by ecological consultants, government agencies, and conservation researchers across Europe.
